The Journey of BocceRoll™

We are a team of four co-founders from Wisconsin, brought together by our shared passion for innovation while working in product development at Trek Bikes. Our journey began when we teamed up for a thrilling televised competition called Make48. The challenge? To invent, design, and pitch a brand-new yard game in just 48 hours. Our creation, BocceRoll, not only won first place in Madison but also ignited a spark that led us to protect, refine, and ultimately bring it to life.

Partnering with Line Modern, an incredible manufacturing team that shares our commitment to quality, we’ve meticulously crafted BocceRoll™ to ensure it’s as perfect as we imagined. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in transforming our vision into a product we’re proud to share with the world.

How BocceRoll™ Came to Life:

The idea for BocceRoll™ was born under intense pressure during Make48, where we had just two days to bring a new yard game to life. The challenge pushed our creativity to the limit, but BocceRoll™ emerged victorious, winning the Madison competition. From there, we secured a patent, trademark, and funding through an overwhelmingly successful Kickstarter campaign.

Our Kickstarter goal of $10,000 was met within the first 10 minutes, and by the end, we had raised over $155,000, making BocceRoll™ the most funded yard game in Kickstarter history!

In developing BocceRoll™, we focused on what makes a yard game truly great. It needed to be fun, simple enough for everyone to enjoy, and appealing to people of all ages and abilities. BocceRoll™ checks all those boxes and more.
